Greek Cake with Figs

Ingredients
figs - 6 pcs.
honey - 3 tbsp.
butter - 7 oz (200 g)
sugar - 6.2 oz (175 g)
lemon peel - from 1 pc.
orange peel - from 1 pc.
eggs - 4 pcs.
flour - 8 oz (225 g)
baking powder - 1 tsp.
baking soda - 1 tsp.
yogurt - 1 cup (250 ml)

Preparation
Heat the oven to 360°F (180°C). Grease a baking dish.

Arrange the sliced figs on the bottom and pour honey over them.

In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar, then add the two types of peels.

Gradually add the egg yolks. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda.

Add them to the liquid ingredients and gradually add the yogurt. Beat the egg whites and carefully add them to the dough.

Pour the mixture over the figs and bake for 85 minutes. Turn the fruitcake over, drizzle it with a little more honey and serve it.
