RED VELVET CHIN-CHIN RECIPE.

Your chin-chin can look better. 

๐ŸŒŸ INGREDIENTS

◻️2½ cups flour
◻️½ cup sugar
◻️¼ cup butter
◻️1 tsp baking powder
◻️½ tsp salt
◻️¼ cup milk  
◻️1 egg
◻️½ tbsp cocoa powder
◻️½ to 1 tsp of red food colourant.

๐ŸŒŸ PROCEDURES

1⃣ Into a clean bowl, add all your dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, sifted cocoa powder, and sugar), and mix.

2⃣ Add your butter carefully mix thoroughly.

3⃣ Add your eggs and mix well to combine.

4⃣ Dissolve colour in milk and gradually add while you knead the dough (as you add the milk, be mindful so your dough doesn’t get too soft).
Note: I used liquid milk and if you are using powdered milk dissolve in 1/4 cup of water

5⃣ Sprinkle some flour on your work surface and give your dough its final knead.

6⃣ Roll out your dough, and cut it into your desired shape.

7⃣ Heat your oil and fry.

8⃣ Fry the dough until it is redish brown. To avoid overcooking, pay special attention to it. 

9⃣ Set on kitchen towels to absorb some of the grease. It will appear soft at first, but within a minute, you will have that satisfying crunch.
