PEANUT BURGER

PEANUT BURGER

RECIPE

Fresh Groundnut 2cups
Flour 4cups
Sugar 1/2cup + 1tbsp
Egg 3medium
Milk Flavour 2tbsp
Nutmeg 1tsp
Salt 1tsp

PROCEDURES

1. Pick your groundnut to remove the bad ones.

2. Soak the groundnut inside hot water and add a tsp of salt and leave for 20-30mins, sieve and sun dry the groundnuts.

3. In a bowl, pour your sugar, Then add your nutmeg. Mix properly and set aside.

4. In another bowl, break, beat your eggs and pour in the sugar mixture. Whisk together thoroughly. Cover, and set aside for about for 15-20mins or more for the sugar to dissolve.

5. In a separate bowl, sieve your flour and milk flavor together and set aside.

6. Put the 2cups of groundnuts inside a bowl with a round and smooth bottom for easy rolling

7. Take the bowl of groundnut, whisk your egg again until it forms foam at the top, scrap off the foamy part and pour 1 spoonful of it inside the bowl and flip the bowl, flip flip flip, the egg will coat all the groundnuts then you now sprinkle a handful of your already sieved flour mixture then flip, flip flip, and the flour again will coat the groundnut. Repeat the procedure until you exhaust the flour and the egg mixture(you’ll have to whisk your egg each time you want to add it,making sure its just the foam you pour on you groundnut)

8. Pour in a tray and allow to set for about 5-10mins.

9. Place a pan of oil on fire, heat up and deep fry till it's golden brown

(To achieve a real golden brown color and not light or burnt peanuts, make sure to stir using a spoon at intervals~ I divide this coated peanuts into two batches and fry each batch for about 25-30mins on a low heat.)

NB: do not rush to make this peanut whenever you want to try it out for the first time. Take your time, else, it'll end in premium tears.
