Banana bread

Banana bread

Ingredients:

- 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the sugar and melted butter until light and fluffy.

4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

6. If using walnuts, fold them into the batter with a rubber spatula.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

8. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

10. Transfer the bread to a wire rack and let it cool completely before slicing and serving.

Guidance:

- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.

- Don't overmix the batter, as this can lead to a dense bread.

- If using walnuts, be gentle when folding them into the batter to avoid crushing.

- To ensure the bread is done, check for a golden brown crust and a clean toothpick.

- Let the bread cool completely before slicing for the best texture.
