HOW TO MAKE EDIBLE GOLD LEAF

Edible leaf is originally made from the liquid color(gold and silver) used in spray guns for cake decorations ! Getting that is quit expensive than buying gold leaf itself and its quite scarce ! 

But we can use another technique here we go 

1 tsp C.M.C 

3 TBS water 

1/2 tsp edible spirit 

Mix the water and cmc thoroughly until smooth then add the edible spirit and your gold edible dust or any color edible dust u choose ( here I used white gold dust) mix well ! Then spread thinly on a parchment paper or an acetate film wrap ( I used parchment paper ) do not use brown paper it will stick to it and not come off ! 

Allow it to dry it might take minutes or few hrs to dry I left mine on the fridge to dry the heat from the fridge help it dry faster ! 

The thinner your mixture the better 

If the mixture it too thick it will take longer to dry and it will be though ..
