🍰 Butter Pound Cake

A rich, moist, and buttery classic pound cake with a soft crumb—perfect for tea time, dessert, or a simple sweet treat.

🧺 Ingredients
 • All-purpose flour – 1½ cups
 • Sugar – 1 cup
 • Butter – 1 cup (2 sticks), softened
 • Eggs – 4, room temperature
 • Milk – ¼ cup
 • Baking powder – ½ tsp
 • Salt – ¼ tsp
 • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare
 • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
 • Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar
 • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).

3️⃣ Add Eggs
 • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
 • Mix in vanilla extract.

4️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients
 • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

5️⃣ Mix Batter
 • Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternating with milk, starting and ending with flour.
 • Mix just until combined—do not overmix.

6️⃣ Bake
 • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
 • Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7️⃣ Cool & Serve
 • Let cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
 • Slice and serve plain or with powdered sugar, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.
